Trip to Las Vegas5/4- The second weekend in the U.S., we decided to drive down to Las Vegas. After driving for 7 hours long, we finally made it to Excalibur, the hotel where we stayed for 4 nights(all because of their 10'' pool). Just when we thought we could finally get some rest and begin enjoying our little vacation there, for some reason Rainny started crying and screaming as soon as we walked in the room and she would only stop when Adam took her out. So,we had no choice but to switch to a different room and it was so tiring because we had to carry all of our stuff downstairs to the lobby, wait in line to check in again and walk through the casino to get to the other side of the hotel. The first couple of nights in Vegas were just straight nightmare. Rainny just cried and cried and cried all night! It was probably the most stressful vacation I've ever had in my life. But it's all worth it when I saw that big happy smile on her face when we took her swimming.
She was so happy and laughing the whole time in the pool. : )
During our 4 days vacation in Vegas, we were still able to go places and do some sightseeing other than just taking Rainny swimming every day. Adam and I went on the roller coaster ride at New York New York (Well, we took turns while the other watched Rainny). It was so fun! I love scary rides! We also went to the Tournament of Kings dinner show where we ate dinner with our hands. Again, Rainny was crying and being incredibly fussy when the show started, but she got really excited when she saw the horses coming out and was enjoying herself as the show went on. When it ended, everyone was clapping and so was Rainny!
We woke up at 5:00am on Thursday and decided to take one last pic of Rainny and the castle before we left Las Vegas.
Rainny was totally out when we got home! Hahaha...

I wonder why she didn't that first motel room. All that crying is so sad. :( Good thing the swimming made up for everything. :)
i heard that you guys had a tough time in vegas. i'm not looking forward to those cying years with miles, but they're coming regardless.
adam: i ran into mally last night at the wolverines game. i told him about your new scouting gig. he thought it was really cool. i think he said he went on some kind of big trip to washington, DC, and chicago, catching a nationals game and a cubs game both places. it was good to talk to him, but i felt bad because i couldn't stay and chat since i had to go do interviews and hurry back to the HJ because the game went so late. the wolverines beat the smithfield aztecs 16-10. jared jensen took an at bat in the sixth, whiffing three times for a terrible-looking K. if he used to have it, he doesn't anymore. i think he just steps in every now & then when the wolverines are ahead by a lot of runs.
anyway... mally said brent's knees are killing him. he and his wife have so many stairs in their house and they wreak havoc on brent's knees and back. i guess he's had a few surgeries on his knees.
well, keep on posting. those pictures are adorable. talk to you later.
I wish I could've seen you guys while you were in the States. I never made it down to Utah, though. It looks like you had a great trip. Rainny is so dang cute! I think my little boy has a crush on her. He comes over to the computer and is mesmerized by her pictures... ;)
I love those pictures of Rainny in the pool. So cute!
Adam, I couldn't help but notice your shirt in the first picture. Nice. The Square One softball team has still managed to win a few games without you there, but I am sure it just isn't the same.
I can imagine how stressful you were when Rainny was crying. Poor girl... But, I'm glad she had a really fun time at the pool :)
