Trip to Utah-Part 1

Here are some of the highlights from our trip to Utah in September and October:

Rainny showing off the little carrot Grandma Hislop grew in their backyard!Grandpa Hislop told us about this new playground in Logan, so we took Rainny there to play. It is by far the nicest playground I've seen! It's got a castle slide, pirate ship, swing, sandbox and lots of other fun stuff for big and little children to play. Rainny loved going there!!!
I bought Rainny a lollipop at Island Market, a grocery store near by Grandpa and Grandma Hislop's house, after taking her and Lenny for a walk on a sunny morning.
Beautiful Aunt Angie with Rainny and Lenny.
We drove up to Pocatello to watch Max and Sophie. Here are the two outside their house looking for bugs..eww!
Max, Rainny and Sophi sitting on a swing.
Rainny was having so much fun jumping on the trampoline with Max that she kept saying she wanted to go back to play more!!! : )
Jack and Luck joined the fun when we went to visit them the second time.

Max jumped up and tried to scare me while I was taking pictures of them.
Hahaha...look at
his face! So funny! : )
Sophie's cute smile!
It's funny that Sophie would point to Lenny and say, "That's my baby!"...hahaha...
Our good friends, Shawn and Amei, are moving to Toronto. Shawn flew back to Salt Lake the day before Adam came back from his training in Phoenix. I'm glad we got to hang out and ate at our favorite Mexican restaurant in Park City, "El Chubasco". We're going to miss them a lot! Such nice couple! Hopefully, we can visit them in Toronto next year when we go back.

Some Random Pics We Took Before Our Trip to Utah

September 2nd-

Aunt Nikki gave Lenny this "I Love NY" onesie. (Nikki also gave Rainny the same matching T-shirt in Chinese!) Thank you, Nikki! : )Playing with Daddy...
Getting a bit chunky at one and a half month...
Going for a stroll in Snuggly.Rainny's little pink bike.
Lenny's big happy smile! : )

September 4th- Leofoo Village Amusement Park

The closest amusement park to us, about 30 minutes drive. We found some cheap and limited-time-only tickets online for about US$12.50 per person (Rainny is free!), which would normally cost double. Good deal! Rainny is getting tall enough now that she was able to go on many rides with us. It was such a fun day!
Riding on the mary-go-round.
Feeding horses.Riding on the monkey trail to see monkeys.
Now looking at these pictures, I don't feel it's a very safe bike ride for kids...it's pretty high above the ground and besides a seat belt, there is not much of a protection around you. I mean, you can get hurt pretty bad if you fall...scary!
On the train to see more exotic animals! (I'm amazed at how many animals there are inside the park! And there is a white tiger, too!)

More Pics of Lenny

Here are some more recent pictures we took of Lenny...and his big sister Rainny!:)

Lenny at 2 weeks old.
Rainny enjoying a chocolate popsicle...mmm, yum yum!
Sound asleep...z Z Z Z
This is the picture we took of Lenny for his U.S. passport. The American Institute in Taiwan (where we applied for Lenny's Consular Report of Birth Abroad of an American Citizen and passport) requires photos showing the child's full face with "EYES OPEN". Apparently, it was really tricky for us when we tried to take one of Lenny since he sleeps tons! (I think all newborns do...haha). At first, we tried to take one of him against the white wall, but it was too difficult to get a good shot because Lenny still couldn't hold up his head. Finally, we lay him down on a white paper we put on the floor and were able to get this picture...hahaha, it worked! :-)
Lenny and Rainny!
Rainny showed her love for her little baby brother Lenny by giving him his binkie!

Rainny is becoming more and more like a big sister now! One night I was talking to Adam on Skype while he was still away in Korea. Lenny was lying on the bed and Rainny was playing by herself nearby. Couple minutes later, Lenny started getting fussy and was crying, but I didn't go check on him right away...Then I overheard Rainny saying, " It's okay, it's okay..." At first, I thought she was just talking to her toys (she talks to herself a lot when she plays with her toys now. Haha...) I turned my head to see if both of them were doing okay and I couldn't believe what I saw...
Rainny said to Lenny, "It's okay, it's okay" while she was patting Lenny on his head and trying to calm her little brother down. (Lenny was still fussy) So, she went on and got her toy, Boots (the monkey from Dora the Explorer) and put it in front of Lenny and said to him, "Okay, do you want Boots?....hmmm..." (Lenny was, again, still being fussy) Finally, she realized that she couldn't get Lenny to calm down after a few tries, so she gave up and said, "Mommy help! Mommy go help baby boy!"...hahaha! It was so funny!!! : )
